Lizzy left a lot out....that mining company was Bilcon.. .it's a U.S. company! registered in Delaware. It was an expansion to an existing quarry.
The Keystone pipeline was already started and mostly finished. The current administration pulled a renege on the XL deal by a veto.....and the Senate could not get 2/3 against such. I'd be pretty pissed if soeone went back on a deal that was signed. The U.S. may just lose their first ever ISDS case with this one given their bull that was pitched to TransCanada.
What these slimy politicians seem to do all the time is leave out key elements....like U.S company.
The most interesting thing about both of these deals...and why they are so similar. As with the encourage to go through with Keystone XL by our Government........Bilcon was also encouraged by the Government of Nova Scotia(Canada).
