Must have not
been the same man I met when I was homeless...He had just been released from prison.
He was homeless because he was waiting on his SSD check as he had become disabled in prison. Plus his Food Card, Cash card assistance and 1/2 way house accommodations. Took him about a week.
I waited another 3 months as a Vet to get a hand up....and that wasn't a handout...never been in jail...I did get 3 ticket when I was 20 though...guess I was a bad ass...
