Okay, but retailers selling this product doesn't prevent you from applying to be a distributor.
If you are approved and there are already stores in your territory carrying it, they should be referred to you as the area distributor to handle their future sales.
But it's up to you. Usually retailers don't try to be distributors too.
A smart move would be to do some ground research and drum up sales leads ahead of time. If you're an investor, even if you don't get a distributorship, you still helped your investment out.
