Just a few caveats. The GOP hasn't been 'great', or even near great, for decades. The 'seeds' have been sewn over that period of time for the whirlwind that is about to be reaped.
To mix metaphors, there aren't nearly enough roosts in the coop to accommodate all of the chickens that are coming home...soon.
As for 'opportunities' to kill? In many, many, way too many cases, that 'opportunity' to 'suit up' to walk their talk was....declined.
S'why there's so much overcompensation with belligerent talk about what they're allegedly going to do NOW.
