No politics. It is fine to debate whether certain kinds of stem cells were proven to work or not. It is not fine to bring political beliefs into the discussion. (I am not sure that the stem cells in question are not still in clinical trials -- I'll have to check the company that I know of that was in clinical trials with them, which I stopped paying attention to when I sold my stock.)
We are friends here. Friends can disagree on things and still be friends. One of my best friends is going to cancel out my vote this fall, but we remain friends because we have AGREED NOT TO TALK POLITICS.
This is a very stressful time politically and we're all going to be happier if we can have a safe haven here, free of politics, and united in our wish to see cures for these horrible diseases that either are life-threatening, or hurt the quality of life of the people who have them.
Let's not mention or imply names of politicians, unless we are happy because one of them has introduced a bill to fund scientific research, or something like that which is relevant to biological sciences.
