I went from a
Christian Shelter to VA rep to Goodwill Services "Exodus Program" as a Vet. When 1st the economy and then my Ex stuck a knife in my back. The problem is Vets have to jump through hoops including drug screening to get in. Which I understand as the VA wants to identify problems and treat them, VA is slow. In some cases Vets could die before they get through all the hoops. Civilian side. Illegals and other civilians in some programs have no hoops to jump through, they go to the front of the line. Which in the end will be another destroyed program as their is no requirement for anyone other than vets to identify problems treat them and get back on track. My luck, the vets were housed with the civilian side. Most people have no clue as to the dysfunction that is on our streets. I seen it 1st hand from the inside. Not the outside looking in.
Vets are held to a high standard while others are not. That is a problem, not for the vets....but the general population.
