Also, many times when a stock starts a climb in pps there are people who have been watching but are waiting for this pressure. They start buying the shares that the shorts want to acquire and it just snowballs. This is what everybody is waiting for. The longs, the flippers and the watchers all start competing against the shorts and this is how they finally get burned. I am not sure if it will happen but if it does there could be some panic buying.
