It reduces the need for the NTEK advantage of lower bandwidth requirements but lower bandwidth is always going to be a big plus. We are fast moving to a world where everybody is streaming something constantly. All entertainment in my house will be running on this internet connection. We will at times have 3 TV's streaming and somebody is always doing something on their smartphones and tablets. The NTEK advantage will also reduce the total digital download totals so that I don't reach my data limits. Nobody ever thought the consumer would use 10gb per month but that is the standard plan now.
Because AT&T is running a special, I am getting the gigabit speed for $2 more per month than I was spending before. I had to sign up for a 2 year agreement but it was such a great deal, I had to jump on it.
Entertainment providers are loosing customers at an alarming rate. They are scrambling to replace the lost revenue, or at least keep people from moving to a different service provider.
