Coming up: Jobless claims, U.S. import prices
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) – The Labor Department will issue weekly jobless claims and monthly U.S. import prices at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch forecast that new applications for unemployment benefits will be little changed at 365,000 in the week ended May 5. Import prices, meanwhile, are expected to fall 0.2% in April after rising 1.3% in March.
