Good bad I don't know. But it was a machine and my family was in the middle of it all, from the Quad Cities, Peoria, Springfield to Chicago.
I was being groomed as a State Rep in 1977 in the republican party. I was 18. That would have lead to Obama Senate seat on Reagan coat tails. If the "good ole boys" liked you...you were a shoe in. Party didn't matter. Little did I know the connection until I was older. Economy TKO'd my business.
My uncle was a 33 Grand Master. Gerald R Ford was a 33. Nixon was a 33 My dad was a 32.
Clinton will never see the White House...imo
