Note that Oritavancin has "structural similarity" to existing antibiotics.
whereas Brilacidin is a totally new class of antibiotics which, by its mechanism, is unlikely to allow bacteria to survive to develop resistance.
Just reminding people of that because some of the morons elsewhere claim there is no need for multiple antibiotics to be available.
