La Liga preps 360º, 4K broadcasting for upcoming season
For the 2016/2017 season, Mediapro will deploy seven drone cameras for La Liga – gradually rolling out to all stadiums - as well as 360º technology in the Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona stadiums. In addition at least one game will be live broadcast in Ultra HD.
“We have demanded that football clubs remodel stadiums so we can improve broadcasting quality. Light, TV facilities and even the pitch will be better, so viewers get the best audiovisual product,” said Javier Tebas, president of La Liga.
The announcement was made during a meeting with La Liga’s international broadcasting partners, in which Javier Tebas was accompanied by Jaume Roures, president of Mediapro, Melcior Soler, audiovisual director at La Liga, and La Liga’s ambassadors Carles Puyol and Christian Karembeu.
