Prurisol is ( abacavir acetate ) a different drug than Ziagen which is used to treat HIV
"ZIAGEN is the brand name for abacavir sulfate, a synthetic carbocyclic nucleoside analogue with inhibitory activity against HIV-1."

Seems like you may be hoping for generic competition? Perhaps you should look into the Alzheimers drug. The patent for the Alzheimers indication seems indeed to be expired which would probably open the door to generics.
