You've misstated the issue. The core issue is discrimination based upon race and gender.
By he time a 'guy' has transitioned to a woman, based upon a genetic anomaly, they're no longer a guy. Plus, they've been using public washrooms right along.
The experience of all of the other militaries that have made the accommodation is the standard by which today's decision should be judged, rather than upon hysteria and misunderstanding.
And yes, the EXACT same arguments were used against the integration of the armed forces in 1948.
