My family founded these United States...
The Pocahontas Crap...kind of burns me as John Rolfe and Pocahontas are my 10th great Grandparents
and my family also came over on the Mayflower...George Washington is my 2nd cousin 8 X removed. Mount Vernon is a Homestead.
The burn though, has nothing to do with Family tree. These United States were founded to be separate and in no way like Europe. In a way the UK was founded to be no way like Europe either.
