It's certainly NOT off topic to discuss corruption in the markets.
Just a caution for anyone posting on this: it's best to avoid political blaming -- both parties have tacitly consented to this, so let's not get into any mudslinging about specific parties or candidates. Again, nothing ruins friendships faster than political discourse. Sigh.
