Nice, childish, sweeping generalization. Virtually all of the high-tech companies in the Silicon Valley and elsewhere were founded by liberals, and are heavily staffed by liberals.

Most of the studios and the jobs in the entertainment industry, liberals.

Doctors and lawyers, science and analytics, a sh*t load of liberals.

NASA, well yeah, rocket scientists, so lots a liberals there.

'Knowledge workers', software engineers, bunch a liberals.

It's glaringly obvious that if winning presidential elections is the 'fish', nobody's taught the GOP jack lately!

So, how do industries shape up? A bit like you'd expect. The graphs below, from a 2013 paper Bonica published in the American Journal of Political Science, show how industries lean based on the number of donors giving to candidates on each point of the ideological map.

Academia, entertainment, media, tech, and law really do skew to the left. Real estate, banking, mining, construction, farming, and the fossil fuel industries love the right. The pharmaceutical industry, meanwhile, has a bit of a split personality.
