I hope that the "deal" we make would include pretty significant royalties. So I would be concerned if we made a deal with a company that already had a psoriasis drug. It can be difficult (though not impossible) to structure a loophole-free contract to cover all the potential conflicts and insure that our interests are fully aligned with those of our "partner". It will be much cleaner if the company we partner with does not have an interest in a competing drug.
But then maybe they just want to sell Prurisol outright... I hope not because I would really like to see it tested on other "related" diseases like psoriatic arthritis.
