Obama Refuses to Answer Benghazi Committee's Questions About 2012 Attack

The House Select Committee on Benghazi and the White House are in a stand-off over whether President Obama should answer questions about the 2012 terror attack.

Catherine Herridge reported on "Outnumbered" that the conflict is coming to a head this week because the Democrats and Republicans on the committee are releasing their respective reports the committee's findings.

Herridge said that the Democrats' report shows that when President Obama was asked to answer questions about what happened in the Benghazi attack, he was advised by his counsel to decline.

Herridge said that Obama's explanation is that speaking to the committee would be a breach of the Constitution's separation of powers principle.

She noted that the Republicans' report is expected to be released in the coming days, which will give more information about what happened on September 11, 2012, and how various Obama administration and State Department officials responded to the attack.
