Hmmm, the UK bookies lost that bet. Wonder how this will play-out...might be worth watching, not only for obvious reasons, but to give a look-ahead to what consequences might result by withdrawing from some of these global trade agreements we're bogged down in. Although cumbersome, often unfair & economically disruptive, these trade agreements also serve a useful function in tying the economies of potentially combative nations (i.e; China & the US) together in a way that makes mortal conflicts illogical for all parties involved.
The ramifications will be many...even my family is involved on a personal level; my Son has lived in London for the last 3 years with his wife & kids & was looking forward to qualifying for EU citizenship, which he would have been entitled to in another year or so...but that option probably just fell off the table.
