Yes, something has to give. If an investor believes that CEO Mr. Heddle is competent and honest and further believes that the technology is disruptive and valuable...then the only logical explanation is that it takes years for a competent person to sell a valuable product.
There is an aspect where people who aren't honest also tend to lie to themselves. I'm certain the shareholders who still believe in PTOI are people who are good at convincing themselves that everything is fine under all circumstances.
If Mr. Heddle had spent that $5M which he loaned to PTOI and which supposedly went toward SG&A, toward instead hiring a call center, he could have called every one of the 18 million business in the United States and asked each one if they had 20 tons/day of plastic and whether they would be interested in turning that plastic into diesel. Even if Mr. Heddle was absolutely stupid, if he did any marketing whatsoever in the past three years, he would already know the answer as to why the customers he's contacted don't want to buy a processor.

Yes, I understand your penny stock also is the real deal, created with the inventiveness of Edison and destined to be the next Microsoft. Yes, I understand that the delays are also only because your company is making their product and/or technology even more revolutionary.
