One guess: The MM's know there is virtually no chance of anything significant being announced today (IR is off, and it's almost midnight in Guangdong), so if they can walk this down until folks' stop-loss orders automatically kick-in, they can generate a massive sell-off and load at ridiculously low prices, then flip hard when the 10-Q hits.
