Volume simply means the number of shares traded.
Go back a few weeks and see how many times 16,000,000 shares traded in one day. Today, trades on the bid outnumber trades on the ask by about 2 to 1. Looks like a sell-off day. That indicates a big accumulation of shares, regardless of the price. That's my point.
