Agree. I always said this looked like "greenmail." It's very common for these ambulance-chaser firms to file these bogus cases, and then the company that is attacked "settles" the case by giving the a-chasers a few hundred thousand to go away. It's much cheaper for companies to settle than it is to pay a lawyer. Takes very little effort for the criminal lawyers, for a big pay-off.
So on that basis the Rosen firm must have been VERY surprised that CTIX would fight back.
But on another front: the fact that Rosen was ready to go with the complaint just minutes after the amount of time it would take for someone to read the article, go check with the other partners to make sure it was okay to file the bogus suit, WRITE IT UP, and get it on the wires -- that would have been impossible. They had to have written it up before the article came up, which means someone at the firm knew before the article was published, that it WOULD be published. One can draw their own conclusions on whether the Rosen Firm was in on the plot with the Mako gang, or whether the Mako gang just knew that the Rosen Firm was likely to want to sue so they tipped them off early, or whatever other theory you want because none of us know for sure. (Well, except the members of the Mako Gang who read this page.)
I hope that our lawyers go after these criminals. That timing business alone is strong evidence of a concerted effort to drive the stock price down.
