All this reverse split stuff is nonsense. Look at AVXL -- they did a reverse split, the stock ran up, and now it's right back down where it was when the r/s happened (adjusting the price for the r/s, of course). It was only good for the pumpers who ran it up and then left a bunch of bagholders with high-priced shares.
Reverse splits are viewed as BAD among most investors. It's viewed as a sign of weakness by the company. Gee, I wonder why the bashers are now pushing for that? ? ? ? ?
they can't fault this company on the science, so they make up phony BS (like the "C'mon Leo, we need a deal now!" article today -- as if a crappy deal made from perceived weakness could be beneficial to shareholders) -- and now this reverse split nonsense is coming up again. Just shows how desperate they are to try to keep the price down so they can continue covering their short position. It sure looks like SOMEONE was covering a big short position today.
