They have been on this list for a while. I do not believe staying on the list amounts to a contract renewal. It just means you have done nothing to be kicked off and remain a transporter qualified for DLA use. Also note Smith does not have a safety rating. I would take this to mean they may have not been selected for use yet as the agency likely gives the carrier a rating after a contract is fulfilled.

Of course this is just my opinion and it is still good to be on the list as it opens the door for potential revenue in the future. I have an associate that works for the DOD and may see him this weekend. I will inquire to see what he knows about how the list is used.
