Re: lousy.engineer #23296
AVXL is far more dangerous to your investing health than CTIX. They are trying to have their drug(s) diversify in what they attempt to treat, so that if the Alzheimer's drug is disappointing, like all the other Alzheimer's drugs, they'll have a fall-back. They're looking at Parkinson's (grant from Michael J. Fox Foundation for animal studies) and epilepsy.
BUT: they don't have a lot of money for clinical trials, and as lousy.engineer says, there have been questions about management in the past. Will they get any other drug into clinical trials? Who know?
Contrast that to CTIX, with 3 utterly different drugs in 4 clinical trials for 4 utterly different applications. Money in the bank and a line of credit, and success in every clinical trial so far.
This is why I have a little gambling money in AVXL, but my serious money is in CTIX.
By the way, I'm the moderator of the AVXL board here, so I do kind of know the stock
