Remember that this was a Phase 2 because the active ingredient (which Prurisol converts to in the body) is already proven safe. So this is the FIRST study of Prurisol in humans, even though it's a Phase 2.

So, some people may have expected blow-out 100% efficacy for all patients, even though this had NEVER been tested for psoriasis before.

We have learned that the 200 mg dose is where efficacy starts. Disregarding the site that didn't follow the test protocol, there was greater than 40% efficacy. That would be sufficient to warrant FDA approval. (There are approved drugs that are less efficacious, for various diseases.)

So, even though some may be disappointed that 100% of people weren't cured, we got great news here. We know that Prurisol WORKS, and now it's a matter of figuring out the optimal dose and dosing schedule.
