My analysis: this was after only 12 weeks of treatment. They said that it was after 8 weeks that they noticed improvement. So, the rate of response may go up when people are treated longer.
Also, it looks like higher doses should be tried too. Again, CTIX was being cautious with the dosing regimen. The horrible example of the French test in which 5 people were badly injured and one was killed outright, should show people why caution is smart.
I wonder if it's body-weight dependent? Some drugs are.
Also note that it helped people who previously had been UNSUCCESSFULLY treated by biologics and other drugs.
So it looks promising. We won't know if it can help everyone until more testing, over a longer period of time, can happen, but the advantages of trying an ORAL medication (no needles) as the first line of treatment before getting into needles and more side effects seems pretty obvious.
