The ordinary person should NOT be investing in this realm nor should they expect/demand to get rich quick. For those willing to start small, learn and understand the market mechanics and gyrations, and really put on the time - these manipulations can offer tremendous opportunties. Known what you on and why you own it.
Now - the naked shorting and such should NOT be allowed. While shorting is a necessary function to balance markets and iron out volatility (or irrational exuberance as Alan Greenspan so eloquently described it) - naked shortint does not provide the same function
