Interesting. I just started my career at GE when the acquisition of Thompson SA of France was completed. They had an Image Intensifier manufacturing business, NBC Universal and CGR X-Ray manufacturing . GE kept those pieces , later selling Thompson.

That all happened 36 years ago.
