I'm going to say something that may get me attacked as a basher. I'm not; I'm long and strong. That said, the brownies announcement makes me nervous. This is a very young company at a critical stage in its evolution. To succeed, management needs to maintain a laser-like focus on building the core business, which right now is beverages. The brownies, to me, are a distraction, regardless of what their potential might be.
Countless businesses with enormous potential have failed because their leader was an entrepreneur who didn't know how to morph into being a businessman. Every business model has risks. For me, the main one here is that management will spend too much time chasing after all those pretty product things (and they're out there, for sure!) and not settle down and get married. So to speak.
The metaphor is strained but I hope my thought is clear. Jerry and the entire management team needs to be putting all their time and energy into making RMHB's beverages a huge hit.
Offered, as I said, as a person who's long and strong and who views himself as a "hardheaded believer."
Anyone out there have enough access to Jerry to talk to him about this? (Assuming, of course, that you agree?)
