You miss the point. It is not about message boards. This one is good, the other is bad. Pumping and bashing go well beyond message boards. Stocks are pumped via boiler rooms, telephone pits of vipers lying to separate the public from their cash. Bashers come on either alone, as part of a desparate attempt to save a bad short position or a much larger conglomerate to take a stock down. Taking a stock down is difficult, pumping a stock up is easy. People are trusting, and willing to listen to any pipe dream. That is why pump and dump schemes work so well. They make it personal, they make it family friendly, they get your emotions involved. Bashers use fear, the opposite emotion of pumpers. Beware both. Message boards are not for due diligence, message boards are controlled by one side or the other. IHub seems negative, investorshangout seems positive. That is the schism. Don't take your advice from either. For the internet age, investors spend more time researching vacations than their investments.
