I disagree. I think this is market manipulation pure and simple.

Why would people have "little faith in the results" when the company is doing something that is RARELY done -- releasing raw data shortly after the study is unblinded. Usually companies take a long time -- a month or more -- so that they can study the data and, if results are bad, try to find a sub-set of people that their drug DID work for. If a company is releasing raw data, they must feel pretty confident that the results are going to be great.
No company puts a press release out saying "hey we're rushing to release raw data" if they think the data is anything but good. If they thought it was going to be bad, or even questionable, they'd wait as long as they could to release it.
