It is you that don't get it. This is not retail shorting. This is abusive naked shorting being done by hedge funds, investment banks, etc.. They don't borrow shares they just sell non existent shares diluting the share price and hopefully driving the company either to being cellar boxed with no bid or bankruptcy.
Please spend some time and do some research on the subject. Why do you think bashers post 24/7? They have a vested interest for doing so, they are not philanthropists. Do some DD on the subject there is plenty of material available and yes I have been fighting naked shorting for 17 years and sadly virtually every single penny stock is a target.
