Re: OMO #8050
C'mon man my ass. A volunteer force deserves more due diligence, more honesty, more men and more properly armored-up vehicles sent off to a war of choice than they got.

What happened to the "Powell doctrine" that required we go off to fight at the very least with sufficient forces and the end game defined?

Heavily opposed? Why, some family skin in the game?

If that gives you pause, maybe it would give civilian leadership pause
before conflating Iraq with 9/11 and before confirming that the WMD was GONE from Iraq. It was destroyed in the 90's, during the inspections after Gulf War I

Face it, the number of American KIA and wounded do not add up to a 'good choice' by the Bush Admin. Neither does the monetary cost show a positive...'return'

Below are the total homicides in CHG coinciding to the years where active combat by U.S forces in Iraq was underway, that's from all causes. So your facile implication that the gun deaths = total U.S combat deaths in Iraq is mathematically wrong and..........pointless.

Iraq was a bad deal, Period
