Doctors, PA, PRN and some others
are hired by HMO's all the time in disadvantaged areas to practice. They sign a 4 year contract and get their student loans paid off and or they come over from 3rd world countries and do the same thing and get a Green Card in return.
US government provides grants to hospitals all the time. In return they have to provide no cost or low cost care to the poor and uninsured. That though isn't common knowledge.
What you what to call it Corporate Welfare, Hospital are in most cases Non Profit owned by HMO's Co pays pay to run the hospital and the HMO insurance Companies clean up on the Insurance premiums.
Gravy Train of about 2.3 Trillion per year. Just have to get rid of the Insurance Companies...
