You make an excellent point. The 'scamsters' took an awfully big chance assuming that nobody at COR (or the SEC, Finra, DTC for that matter) was going to catch on and put the kibosh on the whole plan before it could go into effect. Which of course makes me wonder if we're missing an element to this.
