I think it would be about the same reaction. The clumsiness of it would be tossed off as 'it figures', and then it would certainly roll off Trumps back, as everything else has. Cruz too.
Who thinks anyone you've mentioned is racist?
Nobody takes it as racist primarily because Blacks make fun of each other over exactly that 'lateness'.
Two Black guys in my fantasy football league have exhibited the 'behavior' and laughed about it among all of us, with all of us white guys in our 12 team league.
