Yeah..the textile industry was dead by 2002. I had family in that industry....was real tough.. The one issue with TPP is the arbitration process....from memory it is titled ISDM. I look at free trade through the lens of defense spending. A trade partner allows for alliance and in my ways a protectorate. I do not believe in tariffs...as much as I do not believe in minimal wage. It is the Friedman in me I suppose. he was one od the few that truly understood things:
