OK, an accurate quote of what he said. The strong reaction was of course because even right to life proponents rule out punishment of the woman. What you miss is that everyone informed on the issue
knows that you're not going to punish the woman, law or not. There are plenty of laws that are not enforced, or are lightly enforced.
Right to Life is undone by their own argument to repeal Roe V Wade, because they can't face the 'enforcement question' honestly.
