When my SS arrives by direct deposit, I'm a 'socialist'.
My point about the recovery of my 401k was that despite cries of doom from Republicans for every aspect of the U.S. economy AND for stock market valuation, none of that sh*t happened.
I held precisely because of the boom I enjoyed during the Clinton years. Took most of the Bush Admin to recover from the dot com collapse, but it did. Came back faster under Obama. Association not causation, except when it is!
Why are Republicans always so apocalyptic?! Must be that enlarged right amygdala.

It wasn't JUST the Fed. Without TARP, the Auto Bailouts and the Stimulus, the whole thing could have slid into a depression.
Paulson and Bernanke were abundantly clear on all of that. It was a close call.
