Marriott (MAR) and Starwood (HOT) announced amendment to their merger agreement, raising the offer price to $21 per share in cash and 0.80 shares of Marriott Class A common stock for each share of Starwood. Excluding the timeshare business, the deal values Starwood at $13.6 billion or $79.53 per share.
