Shorts trying to lower their carrying costs and avoid margin calls by driving down the share price. The short is huge imho and the last thing they want is for a run to get started. They are still counting on a large reverse split to help solve part of their problem. The longer it is delayed or postponed being announced the worse it is for them as the short keeps growing.
