Here let me give my opinion on why I carry and want to carry and since this board is full of only opinions I feel I might as well give mine.

If I were to be caught in a situation where a terrorist is shooting at me and others I would like to have something to shoot back with.

Less likely they would continue shooting at me if I fired back. And if I didn't have a gun I would hope that someone else that is being attacked with me does.

With me growing up around guns all my life and my military background. I hit what I aim at. Even under fire.
