A.... "No. I think that would be the role of the transfer agent."
If that's true is it possible the TA never got wind of those shares being converted because they were fraudulently copied and dwac'ed without his knowledge? Had he known about the conversion and IF those shares were not eligible for the dividend THEN he would have been obligated to report that to the DTC. But he may never have had the chance.......
