They never go to jail. They just pay fines...regularly. I've watched this numerous times. Occasionally the injured company gets an award, but that is for a civil trial. If you are part of a class-action suit, then occasionally you might get something tiny. If it is a regulatory issue, then no...the fine is paid to the SEC.
