However..............if the FAA acts fast enough.........they could turn this public shame to their advantage.

They could say they were in the middle of an investigation, that the culprits have been weeded out and delt with after a year's long investigation, and that all of the wrongs that have occurred under the few bad apples have been corrected, and then some......and that the Washington staff, although aware of what was going on, were told by invetigators to stand down until the invetigation was complete, etc., etc., etc.

In other words..............The FAA could save face by doing the RIGHT things, and by the time the investigative report comes out, they could have a very strong and admirable response.

But the clock is ticking.............and they know it!
