I saw a coward that couldn't even sign their own name on a direct email to a CEO, that is, if it is a real email at all.
I can understand, using a alias on boards, like here, but never in a direct email. Nothing but cowardly IMO.
I when I first started in my current position, I would get "tips" and "complaints" from alias email accounts. The population on my small county quickly learned I would neither act on nor investigate anonymous complaints. Having said that, the people who have complained to me in-person have been satisfied with my response, and those who did not get their desired outcome at least understood why my decision did not go their way.
You gotta give respect to get respect.
