My three have stayed up long enough for the targets to read them. They have done their job. I don't care if they get deleted. I even got PM out of it.
Just an aside. If I were speaking to anyone, like the CEO of a company, through direct message or email, I will not be reposting that message on a public board without express permission from the person who posted the private message.
Maybe that's not how others do things, but I consider it core to my professionalism and core to the professionalism to all I employ.
